Mexico is a beautiful country with many places that are great to visit. However, the country is becoming more strict on an existing rule.

If a person traveling into the country has more than one computing device (laptop, iPad, etc.), you will have to pay tax/duty on one of the items. Although, you may only be using it for work or your personal leisure, they assume you could sell it. It is best to spread the devices amongst your travel party to avoid this tax.

Also, for you smokers out there, you are only allowed to bring 10 packs of cigarettes into the country. There is a duty free store at the airport, however, if you stop there to buy a carton, and also bring your own, you could pay a hefty fine. Let’s talk money. There are misconceptions about working with advisors, and I am going to address the elephant in the room. While I will always respect my clients’ bottom line, & respect their hard earned money, I am not always the cheapest. Valuable? Yes. Cheap? Not likely.

1- Fees. I am a professional with years of training. While I am also a full time healthcare provider, this is not my “side gig”. This isn’t a way to get cheap vacations, this my second career. I take it very seriously. Therefore, my time is valuable. I want to focus on my clients & my fees do three things: weed out tire kickers, compensate me for my time & research should you not move forward with booking, allow me to focus on my paying clients & give them my full attention. My fees are minimal, but effective.

2- Pricing. Sometimes, & I emphasize sometimes, I can get pricing that is lower than the published price online. Sometimes I can’t, I am the exact same price, yet you are getting so much value! Is your time worth $? If so, that is where I shine!

3- Customization. Not every trip is custom. Highly customized comes at a higher price. Is it worth it to you? That is for you to decide. Should you go with more of a common or pre-packaged itinerary, great, I can add extra flare to make it more special!

Your hard earned PTO and dollars should be spent on a great return of investment-memories, relaxation, adventure, & or romance. Not on a Costco trip.
